After three unforgettable days filled with spine-tingling music, electrifying performances, and unforgettable moments, “IT’S THE SHIP 2023” has come to a thrilling close. The festival set sail from Singapore on 1-3 November, drawing a total of 3,100 shipmates from 59 countries. With over 54 artists on board and a 38-hour cruise, making it yet another remarkable journey on the high seas.
This year, the first ever Halloween-themed charter of IT’S THE SHIP took festival-goers on an electrifying adventure through multiple theme parties. The festivities kicked off with “Creatures of the Night” on the first night featuring captivating music, mythical creatures, and pulsating beats under the starlit sky. Attendees fully embraced their inner vampires, werewolves, Dracula, ghouls, and more for an unforgettable night of revelry.
It’s The Ship: Halloween Charter
Headliners Flosstradamus, Infected Mushroom, Knife Party, MaRLo, and TNT brought an electrifying energy that left shipmates in awe. American DJ Producer Curt Cameruci otherwise more commonly known as Flosstradamus, recognizable for his Hi-Def lifestyle took the stage with an explosive seamless mix of trap and electronic beats that created an atmosphere of pure exhilaration.
Infected Mushroom, the globally acclaimed psytrance powerhouse, transported shipmates to a sonic realm with their unique fusion of psychedelic and electronic. While crowd favorites and leading figures in both the trance and hardstyle music scene, MaRLo and TNT unleashed a barrage of high-octane beats through the ship’s decks.
In addition, IT’S THE SHIP brought together a diverse mix of international and regional acts, creating a seamless blend that showcased some of the best representation of Asian talents including the likes Nahsyk (MY), KartyPartyy (TH), Party Monster (JPN), Cyda (IND) and many more.
A definite crowd favorite was the iconic sunset Foam Party featuring Afro Bros. Known for their infectious Afro Beats, the Dutch duo had the crowd begging for more, leaving an indelible mark on the festival.
Shipmates were treated to an unexpected thrill during the Altrxego: Psycho Circus theme party, as Knife Party, RayRay, Blanke, KartyPartyy, and Delta Heavy united for an unplanned B2B set takeover. The energy was nothing short of mind-blowing, creating a moment that truly encapsulated the essence of the full IT’S THE SHIP experience. You had to be there to believe it!
The experience didn’t stop at music; shipmates had the opportunity to engage in a plethora of unique side activities with their favorite acts. Shipmates got up close and personal with their favorite DJ’s by participating in activities such as Fear Pong, 3-on-3 Basketball, Belly Flop, Mini Golf, and, not to mention, the Ice Bath challenge with the iconic Maria Ozawa, creating an all-encompassing and memorable adventure on the high seas.
This year’s IT’S THE SHIP undeniably lived up to its title as Asia’s Largest Festival at Sea. Beyond the music and themed festivities, shipmates got to indulge in an all-inclusive festival experience, from luxurious cabins for a comfortable retreat, round-the-clock, all-you-can-eat buffet, and an array of ship amenities, culminating in a truly distinctive festival encounter.
