Designed by DDAP Architect and Riem Studio, both Ubud-based design houses, Alaya Suites draws inspiration from the Balinese village concept of Catus Patha — the sacred meeting point of paths, people, and dreams.
The design feels like daily life in Ubud: calm yet alive, simple yet layered. Inspired by the soft cloud motifs in Wayang Bali art, the architecture captures that space between earth and sky — turning the feeling of home into something you can see, touch, and breathe.
Design with Soul
Comprising 45 suites and 6 private villas, Alaya Suites blends contemporary elegance with Balinese craftsmanship. Each floor reflects one of Bali’s natural elements, creating a subtle rhythm that connects guests to their surroundings.
Inside, textures and tones are warm and grounded. Stone and timber meet recycled fabrics, while artisanal touches — pottery by Gaya, banana-paper lamps, bamboo amenities, and lino-cut art by Septa Adi — infuse the space with character. Robes and uniforms by Pithecanthropus extend that creative connection, tying the property back to the island’s makers and designers
