Canggu is situated on the West Coast of Bali, roughly 19km from the International Airport and north of spots like Kuta (15km away) and Seminyak (10km away). There’s a reason why people usually surf in Canggu ; predictable waves, a variety of spots, and easy access. Canggu is an excellent place to test out surfing, either by yourself or you can also join a surf camp around Canggu beach line.
Berawa beach is one of the perfect beaches in Canggu that are perfect for a beginner or an intermediate surf. The waves here weren’t that big and there’s not too much coral, which was a bit dangerous for a beginner surfer. If you don’t have a surfboard, you can rent a surfboard around the beach.
The prices vary with the seasons and the location of the surf breaks. However, you should pay between Rp. 150.000 and Rp. 300.000 for an hour or two, around Rp. 300.000 and Rp. 450.000 for four hours (half a day), and from Rp.450.000 to 600.000 for a full day. In most cases, a full cash payment is required at the time of pick-up for any rented surf equipment.
