MALICE X LUIGIS “LITTLE IN ITALY” CAPSULE LAUNCH

Luigis has partnered with Malice on an exclusive capsule collection, launching on Friday 8 May.

The capsule explores the cultural bridge between Italy and the USA, drawing inspiration from the Italo-American identity shaped by generations of Italian immigrants in New York. Conceived and created by Roberto Malizia, a Roman-born creative entrepreneur, fashion consultant, and digital creator; the collaboration brings a distinct perspective informed by both heritage and contemporary culture. Now based in Bali Indonesia, Malizia has built a global presence through his platform Malice, with work spanning fashion editorial, brand consultancy, and collaborations with international houses including Gucci, Bally and Bottega Veneta. Known for his edgy yet refined approach to street style, and a highly recognisable aesthetic shaped by his personal identity, Malizia brings a layered, lived-in sensibility to the project. Partnering with Luigi’s, the result is a capsule that blends nostalgia and attitude, with classic references reinterpreted through a modern, urban lens.

The collaboration draws from a shared foundation, Italian at its core, but shaped by movement, reinterpretation and cultural exchange. At Luigi’s, Executive Chef Lorenzo De Petris approaches the menu through a similar lens, taking cues from Italo-American food culture and reworking them with a contemporary perspective. The capsule mirrors this philosophy, translating it into clothing through references that feel both familiar and reimagined.

“Little in Italy” plays on the globally recognised “Little Italy” districts, reworking the phrase to introduce a more personal narrative. The addition of “in” subtly shifts the meaning, suggesting the experience of being within a place that is not originally home. It reflects themes of migration, adaptation and ambition, while acknowledging the dual identity carried through generations. This tension between origin and evolution sits at the centre of both Luigi’s and Malice.

Malizia’s own background informs this perspective. With roots in Rome and a career shaped internationally, his work moves between fashion, culture and identity. Rejecting the label of influencer, his practice sits closer to that of a creative consultant; building narratives, shaping brand direction and creating a distinct visual language that resonates across industries. His aesthetic, often described as raw, transitional, and dynamic, is grounded in authenticity rather than trend, making him a natural fit for a collaboration that seeks to reinterpret rather than replicate.

I’ve always felt misunderstood in my own country, but Bali embraced my creativity, it’s the only place where I’ve truly felt a sense of belonging within the community. That’s why this collaboration is powerful, Luigi’s connects deeply to my heritage, yet it also speaks to the rebellious side in all of us.” Says Malizia.

Visually, the capsule leans into a mix of classic Italo-American references, typography, iconography, and cultural cues that are reworked through a contemporary lens. There is a balance between nostalgia and irreverence, where heritage is respected but not preserved untouched. Instead, it is worn, altered and recontextualised.

Available exclusively at Luigi’s, the “Little in Italy” capsule marks a continuation of the venue’s approach to collaboration, bringing together food, fashion and culture in a way that feels both considered and immediate.
