Bali is not only an incredibly picturesque island. This gorgeous place carries vibes which are so unique that wherever you turn to snap a photo, you’ll be able to capture at least a bit of that special aura. From glistening seascapes and lush landscapes to colourful cafes, picture-perfect villas and so much more, this is a true paradise for the avid Instagrammer. And believe me when I tell you – it’s also the place which will turn your passive social media observer into an avid Instagrammer. Whichever of the two you are, have a look at these incredibly Instagram-worthy spots in Bali, and start planning your trip!
Tegallalang Rice Terraces
If you’re looking for a lush and breathtaking sight, you’ll find it after an approximately 25-minute scooter ride outside the centre of Ubud. Words can’t really describe the sheer impressiveness of this landscape – but thankfully, photos can. So impress yourself first and your Insta audience second with a visit to one of the most carefully maintained rice fields in Bali, the Tegallalang Rice Terraces. A little tip: set out early and aim for the sunrise to see something truly special.

Bali Boat Shed
This little boutique is a darling of Kerobokan Kelod, North Kuta. From the outside, it’s inviting and playful: lovely shack houses with colourful facades, a bit of greenery, and shop windows that are bound to catch your eye. Inside, it’s a vibrant little world to explore. Enjoy the bright interiors and immerse yourself in the fashion galore. No worries, they have both women’s and men’s apparel, and you’ll probably find the outfits as Insta-worthy as the place itself.

Tegenungan Waterfall
Who can resist the sheer energy and awe-inspiring beauty of waterfalls? Bali is home to many amazing watering holes, and the great thing about this one is that it’s only pristine but very accessible too. It’s situated in Sukawati, a village about 5 clicks away from Ubud, and once you get there, you’ll have steps to lead you all the way down to the waterfall. That means you’ll need two things: your bathing suit and your camera. Okay, three things: make sure to bring some cash so you can enjoy a drink or something to eat at the plateau where you’ll have a breathtaking view of the waterfall.

Uluwatu Temple
Imagine a temple perched on a cliff overlooking the sea. And you can walk through it, exploring its pathways and running into the cheeky monkeys which inhabit it. Yup, that’s the kind of stuff you’re in for at the Uluwatu Temple, which is located in South Kuta. ‘The Temple on the Edge of the Cliff’ is that classic Bali image we’re all longing for, and if you visit this temple at sunset you’ll witness a really jaw-dropping sight. A bit of notice, however – it does get crowded, especially at sunset when the tourists flock to take in the views. So it will surely be a lot easier to capture at another time of the day, plus a lot more peaceful too.
Red Door Villa
Set amidst a luscious tropical garden, the Red Door Villa deservedly holds its place among the most Instagram-worthy places in Canggu. It’s a real getaway, but with a refined taste for both interior and exterior design. There’s the lavish greenery, beautiful pool and a home which will win you over with its charm at first sight. And it all just looks so captivating from so many different angles.

We, at Insight Bali, tried to collect all kinds of different places and pick out the most Instagrammable ones among villas, landscapes, temples, and beloved local shops. But as it always goes with Bali, the list could go on forever. In the end, it’s best to see it for yourself and share your impressions with your followers. It will be difficult to resist the urge to snap away the moment you step foot on this paradise – and why should you? The question is, “Can your ‘gram take all this beauty at once?”
