Balawan is back, rocking the Ubud Village Jazz Festival 2022 stage. He is back with a unique combination between Jazz and Traditional Balinese Music after his last performance at Ubud Village Jazz Festival 2017. Balawan is receiving massive appreciation for the performance. He also successfully hypnotized the audience for 60 minutes whilst showing. As usual, he shows his professional ability to play double-neck guitar with 8 Fingers Touch Style technique. This technique is known as the Touch-Tapping Style.
After he study music in Sydney, he finally back to Bali and was inspired to combine Jazz and Traditional Balinese Music. It is because he has been playing with gamelan since he was a kid. He wants to make a new concept to represent modern music and Balinese traditional music. With the aim to show the uniqueness of Balinese music.
He also said to support young people who just started to develop ethnic music. The musician need to do it step by step like you’re in school and need to graduate, to help the young musician to grow the audience can help to show gratitude for their musical skill so they feel appreciated and willing to improve more.
