In recent years, the Nusa Dua area has evolved into one of Bali’s finest tourist destinations. Several five-star hotels thrive in this area, providing beautiful accommodations as well as a full recreational experience. Furthermore, when compared to beaches like Kuta, Legian, and Seminyak, Nusa Dua appears more exclusive because it is less packed with tourists. Who would have guessed that there is a magnificent stretch of beach open to the public in the center of this elite area? This beach is popularly known as Geger Beach.

Geger Beach is 45 minutes by car from Denpasar and only 10 minutes from the Bali Tourism Development Center (BTDC). This beach is located on the left side of the road, just before the Hotel Nikko area. The beach is roughly 500 meters from the main road (Jalan Nusa Dua Selatan), beyond the local fishing town. Several boats belonging to fisherman stopping by can be found on this beach stretch in the morning.
Geger Beach is more popular with foreign tourists, particularly backpackers. These foreign tourists usually enjoy the beach atmosphere by sunbathing on the available chairs or swimming in the water. If the weather and wind conditions are appropriate, guests may also enjoy surfing the waves. On this beach, there are also a lot of newlywed couples from other countries who appear to be having a great time on their honeymoon.
Geger Beach, like the rest of Nusa Dua, has golden sand. This tint represents a transition between white and black sand beaches. Furthermore, because Geger Beach faces east, it is one of the best sites to see the sunrise. Geger Beach and other Nusa Dua locations are likewise recognized for having cooler coastal breezes than beaches facing west.
Despite providing comparable comfort to the surrounding area, Geger Beach is comparatively less expensive. Visitors to this beach can appreciate the beauty of natural charm without needing to stay in an expensive five-star hotel. Tourists can stay in less expensive accommodations, such as those in the Denpasar area, and travel to this beach. As a result, this beach, which is managed autonomously by the local community, is a popular location for visitors looking to experience the beach atmosphere in the exclusive Nusa Dua area while keeping rates low.
