After being postponed by 2 years due to the pandemic, the Bali Arts Festival, which is the result of a collaboration between the Bali Provincial Government and the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, is back in 2022. The 44th Bali Arts Festival carries the theme ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ถ ๐๐ฆ๐ณ๐ต๐ฉ๐ช: ๐๐ถ๐ญ๐ถ๐ฏ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐๐ฎ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ต๐ฉ๐ข which means Glorifying Water which is the Source of Life. The purpose of this theme is to glorify water resources as the origin of all life. This grand event will feature many classic works of art and local traditions involving more than 16,000 artists and 200 studios as well as the art community. There are eight main shows in this event, namely Peed Aya (Parade), Rekasadana (Performance), Wimbakara (Competition), Kandarupa (Exhibition), Kriyaloka (Workshop), Widyatula (Sarasehan), and Adi Sewaka Nugraha (Art Service Award).
The 44th Bali Arts Festival will begin with the release of Peed Aya (Pawai) in front of the Monumen Perjuangan Rakyat Bali. This parade involved 9 districts in Bali. Each district will feature regional specialties, as well as dance performances and gamelan specials from each district. The event will be continued on the open stage of Ardha Candra with the agenda of the Rekasadana (Performance) dance entitled “Catur Kumba Mahosadhi”. In the following days, various competitions, art performances, art exhibitions, and cultural parades will be held. The closing is sure to be spectacular too because it is filled with the performance of the “Tirtha Mahottama” dance and there is awarding of the Adhi Sewaka Nugraha (Art Service Award).
This event will be held for one full month, from June 12th, 2022 to July 10th, 2022.
